Our Favorite Nursery Rhymes & Fairy Tales

I’m a big believer in sharing fairy tales with my children. These stories are woven throughout our culture, and I want my kiddos to be familiar with them. BUT, I’m also a big fan of exploring fairy tales with a twist. In this list, you’ll find some of our favorite traditional fairy tales, but also a good selection of tales from around the world and tales with a new and different take. My children love comparing and contrasting these different tales. Is the big, bad shark scarier than the big, bad wolf? Could Humpty Dumpty have been the victim of a crime, or was it his own poor judgement that got him into such trouble? And what about that gingerbread girl? Doesn’t she know what happened to her older brother? Stories like these breathe new life into the fairy tales we know and love.

Enjoy!
