Unschooling: Hierarchies

By definition, it would seem, if one person controls another, the two individuals have unequal status.

      Quite true! The relationship between parents/teachers and children isn’t really one of them, though. That’s the relationship to which Alfie was referring.

        Alright, and even if they are voluntary… doesn’t mean they’re equal. For example, when you went for a job as a teacher… you had a boss, your headteacher. It was your choice to apply for the job in the first place but you and your boss still weren’t equal.
